Korea’s First “Grown-type” Traditional Music Audition! Who will Win?

A project to discover traditional musicians who will bring K-culture beyond Korea to the world stage began! This year, the program will be made in collaboration with Jeonju MBC. The three finalists will perform from August 14-16th, and the final stage will be held in August 17th to select the winner among the finalists (Choori Band, GUGAK_E_SANG, Sam San) through the judgement of experts and audiences. Which team will win the 1st “JB Sori Prize (with 10 million Won)?

“Sam San” Gaining Attention for her Unique Music World Based on Traditional Music!

Sam San is an artist who has built a unique musical world based on traditional musical elements. She is gaining new attention in the traditional music scene for her unconventionality in her playing various traditional instruments while reciting lyrics that directly express her life. Sam San‘s music, which can be seen as traditional music or new music that has never been seen before or both, is unique and full of her identity, just like the name of her hometown – Samsan.
