Program

Park Subeom’s Park Bongsul-je Kim Ilgu-badi Jeokbyeok-ga

“Park Bongsul-je Kim Ilgu-bodi Jeokbyeok-ga” is a continuation of master Song Mangap-badi (which belongs to dongpyeon-je style) passed down from Song Mangap to Park Bongrae, Park Bongsul and Kim Ilgu. It is characterized by its coherent narrative structure, delicate and colorful jangdan (rhythmic patterns), and conciseness in terms of flow. In particular, the varied melodic compositions and embellishments in u-jo (powerful and robust mode and/or style) parts, sung with a stiff and solid voice, are uniquely attractive. The audience will see part of Jeokbyeok-ga from the part of “Thousands of Boats” to “Jo Jaryong’s Shooting Arrows.”
