Performance Introduction

Let’s Just Enjoy without any Distinction between you and me, you and us!

<You and I Ninano> is a collaboration between the aerial performance by the “Project NALDA” and the mask dance by “The Greatist Masque.” These two troops from different fields together made an exciteful place of “ninano” gathering.

Dancing in rows to the tune of familiar traditional instruments, strange visitors appear on stage in different guises. Some may question about the wide variety of costumes and dancing styles it doesn’t matter here at all. They together create a place where there is no distinction between you and me or between you and us, where everyone respects each other’s uniqueness, and where there is nothing wrong with dancing in different styles. The combination of mask dance, music, and aerial performance using a giant crane will not only delight the eyes and ears of the audience but also offer a place where everyone can join in and thereby forget the heat of the summer night.

“Project NALDA,” an art troupe that fuses various genres through the use of aerial space, is Korea’s leading aerial art organization. The troupe performed at the opening ceremony of the 2018 Pyeongchang Paralympic Games. “The Greatest Masque,” constructed by young mask dance artists, has been producing various performances based on the principles and spirit of mask dance, seeking to engage with contemporary audiences.
