Beautiful Melody of Haegeum meets other Instruments and Genres around the World

“Kang Eun-il Haegeum Plus,” led by Haegeum player Kang Eun-il who has been one of most creative and unique instrumentalists within the scene of Korean music, visits the 2024 Sori Festival. Regarded as a the pioneer of Haegeum-based crossover music, Kang Eun-il’s bow-stroking is often figuratively described as one’s running of sharpened blade. Her haegeum sound always seeks to communicate with the public, and thus her performances deeply attract her audience.

On the festival performance, the relaxing melody as well as somewhat wild sound of the rubbed string instrument will meet flutes, percussions and pianos and thereby show the new potential within Korean music.
