Kim Sejong-je Chunhyang-ga by Kim Miseong
“Kim Sejong-je Chunhyang-ga,” performed by Kim Miseong, a successor of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Pansori Chunhyang-ga, was passed down from Kim Sejong to Kim Chaneop and Jeong Eung-min and then settled in the Boseong area of the, Jeollanam-do province. Then it has been passed down to masters Jeong Kwonjin, Seong Woohyang, Jo Sanghyeon, etc. It is characterized by its refined, elegant style with a strong aristocratic influence. It also features colorful rhythmic patterns and vocal tones, as well as subtle variations in terms of buchimsae (ways of connecting lyrics and melody) and sigimsae (mordents). The buk accompaniment is performed by Choi Jaeyoung, a certified trainee of the National Intangible Cultural Heritage Pansori Gobeop.
