A Unique Classic Ensemble with Originality Experienced in a Traditional-style House
“Jayeonso,” an abbreviation for “Venue for Free Music Performance,” is a project centered around violinist Sim Jeongeun. Each project event is composed of great musicians who are actively appearing in the domestic music scene. The project respects the individuality of each member, which is expressed through their inner naturalness, and aims to discover the artistic value of free performance in today's monolithic society.
This year's Jeonju International Sori Festival stage will feature violinist Sim Jeongeun, along with violinist Choi Yujin, violist Kang Anton, cellist Kang Chanwook, contrabassist Oh Seunghee, flutist Han Seongeun, oboist No Jiyeon, clarinetist Song Minseok, and composer Kim Ingyu. This ensemble will deliver a grand yet delicate and beautiful performance of Korean-style classical music. It will be held at the historic house of Injaegotaek Hagindang, where the traditional Korean architecture will add a unique charm, making the performance a more unique experience.
