“Bixiga 70” is an ensemble formed in 2010 and has been actively performing in the world music scene. Combining various elements that have shaped Brazil's rich musical history, including African and Latin musical heritage, the band strongly conveys messages about the current political situation in Brazil through their artistic activities.

Their music blends traditional and modern rhythms such as punk, jazz, Afrobeat, and samba, creating complex yet catchy melodies that anyone can sing along to and dance to. The band's music, with its brass and percussion sounds, naturally makes audiences want to move their body.
