Sori Academic Forum
The 2025 Jeonju Int'l Sori Festival's “Sori Academic Forum” is held in collaboration with academic societies and research institutes specializing in the fields of Korean traditional arts, performances, and festivals, under the theme of “Creative Platform Connecting Locals and the Global.” Through this collaboration between the performing arts community and academia, the forum will examine the current state and challenges of traditional arts performances and festivals, and explore future directions for local music and artists. This year's forum will feature the participation of the Korean Musicological Society, the Research of Performance Art and Culture, the Korean Society for Worldmusic, the Korea Festival Forum, and the Jeonbuk National University Institute of Arts and Culture.
