[Arts Caravan: Buan] Jeonju Pansori Choir, Kang Yebin
The "Arts Caravan: Buan" will be held at the Suseongdang Hall in Buan. Imsoo-do Island, which can be seen from Suseongdang Hall, is located halfway between Gyeokpo and Wido, and according to folklore, it is where the filial daughter Sim Cheong jumped into the sea to restore her father Sim the Blind's eyesight. The stage at Suseongdang will be designed around the theme of “Simcheong,” reflecting the significance of the location according to the story. "The Jeonju Pansori Chorus," the first pansori chorus in Korea, will perform “Simcheong-ga” centered on "Beompijungnyu," while Kang Yebin, a vocalist active as a non-permanent member of the Jeonbuk State Gugak Center's Changgeuk Company, will sing familiar parts from “Simcheongga.”
