Gaettong-a over the mountain (Street Theatre Troupe)
Chararak! With the cool unfolding sound of a folding fan, and with the rhythm of samulnori performance using percussions like jing and kkwaengwari (kinds of iron gongs), straw mats are laid out on the ground and the stage gradually increases with excitement. It is a piece that reinterprets our traditional plays and puppet shows with a modern sense.
Cheomji (an old man or a rank of officials) Park happened to be a travelling companion with a depraved monk and a bride who was travelling with the monk. An old lady, who was travelling to find Park, met the bride. The lady envied and fought with the young bride, who fainted. Park thought his wife had died and called a blind doctor and shaman to perform gut in vain. At this time 'Sanbadi' (a musician) called 'Gaettongie', who was a young hero and appeared when people were confused. 'Gaettongie', born based on the 'baby general legend', had the ability to remove the evil spirits with his strong urine. The boy hero 'Gaettongie' and the White Tiger who failed to become the guardian spirit of the Inwang Mountain began to fight, and the performance rose to its climax.

Manbo and Byeolbyeolmeori (The Gwangdae)
Based on talnori (mask play) among traditional plays, it centrally uses animal masks to catch the curiosity and glance of children in one burst. With some messages penetrating all generations, we will be deeply touched at this sincere, pleasant work.
'Manbo and Byeolbyeolmeori' is displaying Manbo's growth while he, named lion's legs, finds his own meori (head) to become a lion at last after numerous twists and turns. Long, long ago, there was a time when not all lives had yet made their appearance. Manbo was born with his legs but without his head. He wanted to have his own head like other animals. He hit the road with the shoe seller to find his own head. He met all kinds of animals such as winged or creeping animals, and ones living in the sea and asked them to be his other half. Yet, not one of the animal heads he encountered in mountains and rivers accepted his desperate offer. He even tried to raise a tree without its trunk, and once a demon's head was attached to his head which led to the danger of living with a demon's legs. At last he met 'Taktak', a lion's head. Both lion's legs and head found their own halves happily and became a perfect lion, the king of animals.
